All about Pearls

Do you know how pearls are formed
                                 ------------------------------------------------
Oysters are shelfish that live on Sea and River beds. When they are hungry they open their shells and draws on water ,containing small edible creatures.Sometimes a tiny piece of sand may get trapped inside the shell. This irritates the oyster, just as a dust particle may irritate our eye. This stimulates the oyster to secrete a substance called mother of pearlThis coats the sand particle smoothly so that it cannot hurt the oyster's soft body.It coats the tiny particle with layer upon layer of this shiny substance until finally a beautiful pearl is formed.
Most pearls today are cultured. This means that a grain of sand has been deliberately put inside the shell, forcing the oyster to form a pearl. This is how we get pearls loved by all.
