Birth of Lord Ganesha
There are four Yugas or Ages: Kritha yuga,Dwapara Yuga and Kali Yuga.Lord Ganeshaincarnated in different forms in each yuga.
1.Kritha yuga:
In
kritha yuga Lord Ganesha was born as Mahotaka,son of sageKashyapa and
his wife Adhithi.In this incarnationhe destroyedthe demons like
Naraantaka,Devantak and Dhoomrakata who were harassing the three
worlds.He left his parents promising them that his astral spirit would
be there whenever they wanted him. 2.Tretha Yuga: Lord
Ganesha was born as a son of Parvathi.Once while playing with a wild
peacock he brought the peacock under control and named it Mayura and
later presented to his brother Karthikeya, which later on became
karthikeya vehicle(vagana).He also realised birds like Jatayu,Shyena
and Sampathi from Serpent kingdom(Naga lokam).He killed a demon called
Sindhur.It was during this yugahe married Siddhi and Buddhi
(personification of Acheivement and wisdom). 3.Dwapara Yuga: Lord Ganesha was born as Gajanna,
later adopted by the sage Parasara and Vatsala.but they deserted him ,as
he was born with an elephant face.Gajanna left them and killed a demon
called Sindhuri.later he taught his parents "Ganesha Geetha"4.KaliYuga: It has been experienced and proven that kali proven
that kali yuga will be dominated by evil.men will go after
wealth.Uncertainity and chaos will prevail.To set right things Ganesha
Purana avers that Ganesha will be born as Dhoomakethu,When he will
destroy the evils from the minds of men and restablish rightuousnes and peace.

3.Krishnapigaaksha ---- With reddish Eye-Brows.
4.Gajakarnaka -- Having elephants mouth.

6.Vikata --- of a monstrous figures.
7.Vignaraja,Vigneshwara --- the king of obstacles.
8.Vignahartha,Vignanasin --- the destroyer of obstracles.
9.Dhoomravarna ---- the smoke coloured body.
10.Kapila --- his tawny colour.
11.paalachandra -- Sporting moon crest.
12.Vinayaka --- Remover of Hinderance.
13.Sumuka --- Auspicious and pleasant.
14.Heramba --- five headed protector.
15.Ganadhyaksha --- the lLeadre of aletarial hordes
16.Soorpakarna --- the large ears resembling winnow
17.Sandhapurvaja --- Older than Skanda his Brother.
18.Akuratha --- with rat as a chariot.
19.Siddhidatta --- the best owner of success.
