Significance of Kodimaram (The Gold  Post seen on the picture)

               Kodimaram has its own importance.we can see kodimaram in almost all Temples in South India.This also known as Sushma lingam.This Depicts The Thrimoorthies, Lord Brahma,Lord Vishnuand Lord Siva.The Creator ,the Protector  and  the Destroyer.

                 The base of the kodimaram is Square in shape that denotes Lord Brahma,The middle portion is eight sided that is Lord Vishnu and the upper portion round and tall that is Lord Siva.So as we Postrate before Kodimaram ,the belief is that we worship all the three Deities.
